Holstein Friesian
Holstein Friesian is one of the most popular dairy breeds in the world. This breed is originated in Holland & Denmark. This breed is also known from HF cow. The breed is available worldwide. HF is the highest milk producer breeds. The coat color of Holstein Friesian is white with Black spots gives them a perfect look. It is a large size well height breed which mature live weight of the female is approximately 600 to 650 kg and the live weight of the mature male is 650 to 750 kg.
The average milk production of Pure Breed Holstein Friesian is excellent it produces 20 to 25 liters per day. The butterfat in the milk is 3.5 %
Jersey
It is one of the oldest breeds. the jersey cow is another Popular breed in the world. Jersey is mainly originated in the island of Jersey in the United Kingdom. The breed is distributed worldwide. Jersey has normal height and horns are slightly inclined forward. The main coat color of breed is brown. The average live weight of mature Female is 400 to 500 Kg. and the live weight of Male is around 550 to 650 kg.
The milk production of pure breed jersey is quite good it produces approximately 15 to 20 liters per day. The butterfat in the milk is 4.5%.
Ayrshire
The breed is originated in Scotland. It is the medium-sized breed, the main coat color of Ayrshire is mixed Red and white. The horns are medium size and slightly curved. They have large size udder and the average live weight of mature cow is 450 kg.

Gir

Dairy Swiss(Braunvieh)
Dairy swiss is the dual-purpose breed used for both meat and milk. The dairy swiss originated in Switzerland. It is available in two varieties. One is the dairy swiss and the second is Brown swiss. The breed dairy swiss made from the selection of high productive brown swiss.
The milk production of Dairy Swiss cow is efficient. It produces around 15-20 liters per day and butterfat content in the milk is 4%. While the milk production of Brown swiss is around 10 to 15 liters per day Butterfat content in the milk is 4.5%.
Sahiwal
Sahiwal cow is originated in Punjab Border Area (India and Pakistan region). It is available in both India and Pakistan. Sahiwal produces A2 milk. The coat color of the breed is red and. This breed has large udder. It is one of the large milk producers of India. The live weight of the mature cow is 350 Kg.
The milk production of Pure breed Sahiwal is well. It produces around 10 liters per day with good feeding. The butterfat content in the milk is 4 to 4.9 % which is quite good.
Guernsey
